Fresh from an intensive 18-day printmaking workshop in Florence\, Italy\, Michael is excited to share new techniques and creative approaches with students. Monoprinting is a versatile and accessible printmaking process in which ink is rolled\, painted\, or drawn onto a plate to create one-of-a-kind prints. This class will explore monotype\, collage\, and chine coll techniques using Akua non-toxic\, water-based inks. Adult participants (ages 17+) of all experience levels will learn how to mix\, layer\, and manipulate inks while incorporating drawing\, collage\, and multi-plate printing methods to create rich\, expressive imagery. The workshop encourages experimentation and creative exploration\, opening the door to new possibilities in printmaking. All materials are provided.
